“Pamodzi Tingathe” means “Together we can do it” in Chichewa.
It stands for the collaboration on equal footing between the organization YCD (Youth Coalition for the Consolidation of Democracy) in Malawi and our support association. The shared goal: to sustainably improve the living conditions of people in Chikwawa District, one of the poorest regions in Malawi, Southeast Africa. By sustainability, we mean empowering people to build a livelihood that allows them to live a dignified and autonomous life.

On Saturday, September 6, 2025, the benefit festival took place at the Gfellergut Social Pedagogical Center. We would like to sincerely thank the Gfellergut Social Pedagogical Center for the excellent organization and smooth execution. A heartfelt thank-you also goes to the wonderful acts that filled the festival with life and color.

The projects run by YCD, which Birgit Zurbrügg has come to know in detail, provide direct support to people in need while also promoting structural and cultural actions to achieve medium- and long-term change.
